What forms of payment are accepted?

Currently, the forms of payment include cash, cash app, apple cash, venmo, zelle, and personal check. Payment is due at the time of each appointment.


What insurances are accepted by Holistic Wellness Services?

At this time, HWS LLC is in network with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and/or CareFirst BlueChoice, Inc and Maryland Medicaid. For other insurance providers, HWS LLC is considered an out of network provider and does not bill insurance companies. If you plan on using your insurance for reimbursement of services, an invoice can be provided. The reimbursement of services varies by insurance company and coverage benefits.


What is the difference between a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a psychiatrist?

A psychiatric nurse practitioner is considered an advanced practice nurse that has completed advanced degree program and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). As a result, depending on the state guidelines, psychiatric nurse practitioners are able to perform services/duties such as evaluation, diagnosis, and prescribe medication. A psychiatric nurse practitioner is at times confused with a psychiatrist. The important distinctions are a psychiatrist is a medical doctor and has completed a psychiatric residency program.
